Port of Gdańsk Authority SA was established in 1998 as a commercial company and
has been opera ng under the Act on sea ports and harbours and the Code of
Commercial Companies. In that capacity, the Company follows the tradi on of all its
predecessor en es that used to manage the port grounds in Gdańsk.

The company’s shareholders are as follows: the State Treasury, the City of Gdańsk
and eligible employees.
ź property and port infrastructure management
ź forecas ng, programming and planning of port development
ź construc on, expansion, maintenance and modernisa on of port infrastructure
ź acquisi on of property for port development
ź provision of services connected with the use of port infrastructure, in par cular
ensuring:
ź fire protec on from the water side for the managed facili es and areas
ź fire protec on from the water side for ships and other floa ng vessels in the port
waters or in the port’s roadstead or anchorage
ź assurance of access to port collec on facili es for waste from vessels with the
purpose of their recycling or neutraliza on
